`Uloom al-Jadeeda - Modern Sciences

In order to face the challenges of the modern world and the questions posed by recent history it is necessary to discuss these issues and understand where we stand as Muslims in relation to these challenges. Many of these issues are viewed as a taboo within the Muslim community and are therefore completely neglected leaving the minds of Muslim youth to be conditioned by social norms.

The course will involve heavy student participation under the guidance of the teacher.

There are three aspects to this course.

  1. Islam and Science

    Expounds on the concept of science in Islam and the scientific knowledge contained in the Qur’an and the prophetic way.

  2. History

    Covers history before and after Islam. Concentrating in particular on events which have caused controversy and are used by detractors to vilify the name of Islam.

  3. Modern Thoughts

    Covers modern ideas and issues which are taboo issues of the day which are a bone of contention in society.

    • Qur’anic Philosophy of Life, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

    In addition to the above students will be encouraged to participate in classroom debates and produce coursework on their thoughts on particular issues of contention.
